On December 5, 2025, from 2 PM to 6 PM, the doors of Pražská křižovatka – the remarkable space inside St. Anne’s Church in Old Town – will open for the traditional St. Nicholas Charity Bazaar, taking place for the nineteenth time.
Organized by the Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97, this event is one of Prague’s most heartwarming advent gatherings, where charity, culture, and festive atmosphere blend into one unique experience.
The bazaar brings together nonprofit organizations that cooperate with the VIZE 97 Foundation. Visitors can learn about their work, support sheltered workshops, day centers, and associated projects, and purchase original Christmas gifts that directly contribute to a good cause.
The entire afternoon will unfold in a warm, festive spirit. Guests can enjoy a cup of tea, meet with friends, and soak in the peaceful advent mood in one of Prague’s most atmospheric venues. For children, the highlight will be a visit from St. Nicholas, the devil, and the angel, guaranteeing smiles and excitement for the youngest attendees.
The event traditionally concludes with a magical moment: the audience will be invited to sing well-known Czech carols on the main stage alongside Dagmar Havlová and other notable personalities. This communal singing gives the bazaar its unique charm and draws hundreds of visitors every year.
The idea to organize this yearly charity bazaar originated nineteen years ago with Dagmar Havlová, chairwoman of the VIZE 97 Foundation. Her aim was to create a platform where nonprofit organizations could meet, connect, and present their work to the public—and this vision continues to thrive.
