It’s Lesofantenfest time again: we’re calling “Herrrrrrreinspaziert” to the ring of the City of Vienna’s libraries. Circus, clowning, acrobatics and vaudeville are the focus of this year’s big children’s art and theatre festival at the libraries. There is a varied and colourful programme with free admission throughout Vienna: from Aspern to Liesing, the libraries offer theatre, juggling, literature, music workshops and much more for children, young people and families. This year’s programme also includes more than 20 events for the little ones.

Under the motto “Manege frei”, children and young people can experience numerous theatre, clown and music performances at this year’s festival. Christoph Schiele, the well-known clinic clown, will kick things off with his circus theatre show about “Bademeister Paule”. A play about letting go and breaking free, the joy of dreaming, imagination and friendship. Leaving everyday life behind and immersing yourself in the magic of the stage. That’s what the Lesofantenfest 2024 is all about. Fun and entertainment are at the top of the programme and perhaps there will also be one or two educational things at the Lesofantenfest. After all, the programme not only offers a cultural programme, but also an educational programme with humour – and the odd profound insight.
