Christmas Exhibition and Market

Die The Christmas exhibition in the Hirschstetten flower gardens celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2023 and is themed “Christmas fairy tales”. In the event glasshouse 1, you can experience 9 fairytale stories that have been lovingly handcrafted with countless flowers.

In addition to well-known fairy tales, such as the “Christmas Story” by Charles Dickens or “Mother Hulda” by the Brothers Grimm, lesser-known stories are also presented in floral form.

Traditional Advent market

The Advent market with over 50 stalls leads from the north entrance through the decorated garden landscape to the exhibition glass houses and on to the south entrance. On offer are traditional gingerbread products, chestnuts and baked potatoes, waffles and dried fruit, as well as fish, bacon, cheese and pumpkin seed products. You can also buy handcrafted Christmas gifts, such as wooden toys, knitwear or ceramics, as well as Christmas tree decorations.

Crafting fun for children

There will be a craft station in Event Glass House 2 from 12 noon to 6 pm on each of the opening days. With the help of the Vienna City Gardeners, children can make their own Christmas arrangements from brushwood and take them home as a souvenir.

The crafting sessions start on the hour between 12 noon and 5 pm. Please note that a maximum of 8 children can take part in each craft session.
