The Human World Festival explores the vast complex of rights and freedoms, of being human and living as a community, through the lens of film. Different cinematic approaches and critical perspectives invite you to engage with the realities of people and communities worldwide. The first international human rights film festival in Vienna is a platform for cinematic art and critical discourse, a space for encounters and dialogue and a meeting place for young innovative filmmakers from all over the world. We see cinema not only as an artistic form in which narrative experiences are performed or created, but also as an opportunity for the audience to step out of their comfort zone and enter into a dialogue with new and challenging realities.
