A Night in the Valley of Hell

A Night in the Valley of Hell is one of the most enchanting summer experiences near Rome. The event gives visitors the rare opportunity to explore Villa Gregoriana Park in Tivoli after sunset, when its scenic trails, waterfalls and dramatic gorges are illuminated by soft evening lights. Walking through the historic Valley of Hell at night offers a unique way to experience one of Lazio’s most spectacular natural landscapes in a peaceful and almost fairy-tale atmosphere.

📅 Dates: 3 July – 5 September 2026 (every Friday and Saturday, including several dates throughout August)
🕖 Opening hours: From approximately 8:00 PM (depending on sunset time)
📍 Location: Villa Gregoriana Park, Tivoli (Metropolitan City of Rome)
🎟️ Admission: Discounted ticket: 3$, No discount: 10$

Each evening follows a special after-dark itinerary through one of Italy’s most breathtaking romantic parks.

🌙 Night Walk

Discover illuminated trails winding through lush vegetation, ancient caves and spectacular viewpoints in a completely different atmosphere from daytime visits.

🌊 The Great Waterfall

Admire the impressive Great Waterfall as it comes to life under the evening lights, creating one of the park’s most memorable sights.

🏛️ Guided Tours

On selected evenings, expert guides share fascinating stories about Villa Gregoriana, the Temple of Vesta and the remarkable engineering works that shaped the valley.

✨ Special Events

Throughout the summer, the programme may also include cultural talks, acoustic concerts, sensory experiences, readings and food & wine tastings.
