Villa Torlonia is one of Rome’s most surprising historic villas, with a park filled with buildings offering completely different atmospheres. The Casino Nobile, Casina delle Civette and Moorish Greenhouse seem to belong to different eras, while the underground bunkers add an unexpected element to the visit.
One unusual chapter in its history is its connection to Benito Mussolini, who lived in the Casino Nobile from 1925 to 1943. We chose it because it reveals a lesser-known side of Rome’s architecture and history.
