If you want to experience authentic Roman entertainment and get to know their culture and music, come to Roman Bašavel. It takes place on Saturday, August 15, starting at 3:00 p.m. in Central Park in Pankrác. This marks the seventh annual Roman Bašavel Open Air 2026 festival.
The festival’s headliner will be the legendary Romani band Kale, one of the most prominent names on the Czech Romani music scene. Also performing will be Galiani Gypsy Jazz, Meadow Avenue, Unissono Groove, Jan Hron, Somnakune Čhave, Oksana Trofimenko, Romano Balvaj, and the young rapper Yung Dee.
The entire festival is designed as a family day, so there will be a children’s zone with a varied program for children of all ages. Children will also have plenty to enjoy, as the organizers have prepared a bouncy castle, a carousel, a performance by circus artist František, and other attractions.
Adults, on the other hand, can enjoy the photo booth and even have their fortunes told.
In addition, various nonprofit organizations will be featured at the festival, such as R-Mosty, Mladí ladí dětem, Proxima Sociale, ROMEA, and others. In the evening, the Nomads of Cultures association will perform their fascinating show, “Dance with Fire.”
The festival is the perfect opportunity to spend a summer day in a pleasant atmosphere and discover the richness of Romani culture.
