Smoke at the Summer Movie Theater

The summer cinema at the Holešovice Market will screen the cult film *Kouř*. Fans of Czech cinema are in for a treat on June 25, 2026. An open-air screening of the legendary film *Kouř*—one of the most iconic cult films in Czech cinematic history—will take place at the Food Truck Point area in the Holešovice Market.

Directed by Tomáš Vorel, the film is often described as a “musical of the totalitarian era” and continues to win over new fans to this day with its distinctive humor, absurdity, and unmistakable atmosphere. The story of Míra, a young engineer who wants to do his job honestly and without compromise, unfolds in the bizarre world of a socialist enterprise, where there is no shortage of surreal situations, unforgettable characters, and iconic lines.
