On Sunday, September 7, 2025, the Chuchle Arena Prague (Prague 5) will host the Zlatý pohár and the Prague Grand Prix, a traditional race day that ranks among the highlights of the entire horse racing season.
From 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, spectators can look forward to nine thrilling races, featuring both flat races and hurdle races that promise plenty of excitement and atmosphere.
The main event will be the 19th edition of the Zlatý pohár EŽ Praha, a prestigious hurdle race run over a challenging 4,200-meter course. It is one of the longest and best-endowed hurdle races in the Czech Republic, attracting attention from both experts and passionate fans year after year. The day’s second highlight will be the Prague Grand Prix CK Martin Tour, a renowned flat race over 1,600 meters for three-year-old and older horses, showcasing top riders from both the Czech Republic and abroad.
But the program is not just for horse racing enthusiasts. Families with children will find plenty to enjoy thanks to a rich accompanying program. Between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, children can enjoy pony rides, explore bouncy castles, watch rabbit hopping shows, and play in the dedicated kids’ corner inside the grandstand. More fun awaits with carousels, trampolines, and creative workshops, ensuring entertainment for the youngest visitors throughout the afternoon.
Visitors can also look forward to excellent food and refreshments. The venue offers a full-service restaurant with a varied menu, as well as quick snack stands for a casual bite. Comfort is guaranteed, as the covered grandstand seating ensures a pleasant experience regardless of the weather.
