MultiFest 2026 will bring a unique evening filled with student creativity, film, and multimedia, taking place on January 23, 2026, at Lucerna Cinema in Prague.
The festival presents the work of students from the University of Economics, Prague, and each year ranks among the most distinctive showcases of emerging audiovisual talent.
MultiFest is a festival of multimedia outputs created by students of the bachelor’s program Multimedia in Economic Practice as well as students of the Multimedia Communication minor within the master’s program. The event is organized under the auspices of the Department of Multimedia at the University of Economics and the students themselves, who are responsible not only for the exhibited projects but also for the organization of the entire evening.
The main highlight of the program is the screening of short fiction films, which traditionally represent the festival’s centerpiece. Visitors can also look forward to documentaries, experimental audiovisual works, and other multimedia projects. The event will also feature an exhibition of photography and graphic design, offering a broader insight into student creativity across different disciplines.
However, MultiFest is not just about watching films. A side program is also prepared, complementing the screenings and creating space for networking, sharing inspiration, and discussions about current trends in audiovisual production.
This year’s edition will be thematically inspired by Las Vegas, which will also be reflected in the recommended cocktail / smart casual dress code. Visitors can therefore expect not only strong visual experiences but also a stylish atmosphere throughout the evening.
MultiFest 2026 is an ideal opportunity to discover new faces of the Czech audiovisual scene, support young creators, and enjoy an inspiring cultural evening in the iconic setting of Lucerna Cinema.
