Nusel Courtyards Festival

Nusle Courtyards 2025 will bring life to the courtyards and inner blocks of Prague’s Nusle district on Saturday, May 17, from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, transforming them into a hub of contemporary circus, theater, and creativity.

The full-day program for all ages is organized by CIRQUEON in collaboration with Mečislavka Courtyard and the Zrno Zrnko bakery.

This year, visitors can look forward to two premieres – the performative walk Stepní běžci and a new original fairy tale by Radek Pokorný from Divadlo Buřt. Also premiering is Pneu, a project by Viktor Černický, created during his CIRQUEON residency. Festival favorites such as Bratři v tricku and the meditative Welmass by Eva Stará will return, and for the first time, the open stage will welcome young creators from Plzeň and České Budějovice.

A rich accompanying program includes circus workshops, juggling, hula hooping, woodworking activities, and a new addition – a courtyard thrift shop with a textile workshop, where visitors can personalize clothing with original prints.

The Try the Circus zone in the CIRQUEON hall invites children from four years old and adults alike to experience balancing, aerial acrobatics, and juggling. The day full of experiences will end with an evening DJ set by DJ Mašout. The entire program is free of charge.
