Night of Theaters

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, the 13th edition of Theatre Night, the largest theatre celebration in Europe, will take place, this time with the theme “Neighborhood.”

This traditional event, held annually as part of World Theatre Day, will bring a diverse program to theatres across Prague, including night tours, theatre workshops, discussions with creators, performances, and shows. Admission to most activities will be free or for a symbolic fee.

The theme “Neighborhood” offers broad possibilities for interpretation. What do neighbors mean to us? Are they the ones playing music in the hallway, or the ones we worry about when we hear about the difficult conditions in their countries? The Theatre Night program will allow you to experience neighborhood life in both its humorous and more serious aspects. You can look forward to intimate stories, community events, fairy tales, musical performances, and meetings that connect audiences and artists.

Theatre Night is part of the international project European Theatre Night, which began in 2008 in Croatia. This project has gradually expanded to more than ten European countries and has been held in the Czech Republic since 2013. Every year, it attracts more than 50,000 visitors who enjoy the magic of theatre night.
