Lovers of Japanese culture, martial arts, and history will find plenty to enjoy at Japanese Day, taking place on February 9, 2025, at Clam-Gallas Palace in Prague 1.
This unique event offers visitors an in-depth look into samurai traditions, art, and philosophy through lectures, demonstrations of combat techniques, calligraphy, and many other activities.
The program is thematically connected to the exhibition Japan of the Samurai, which showcases the fascinating world of these legendary warriors. The main part of the program will take place in Kaláb Hall, accessible only with a purchased exhibition ticket. Additional activities will be held in the palace courtyard and near the ticket office on the ground floor, where entry is free.

Japanese Day will take place in the magnificent Baroque halls of Clam-Gallas Palace, one of Prague’s architectural gems. Built in the early 18th century, the palace served as a residence for noble families and is located in the historic city center. Its elegant interiors provide the perfect backdrop for immersing yourself in Japan’s rich traditions.
To enter Kaláb Hall, a ticket to the Japan of the Samurai exhibition is required, as it is part of the event’s program. Other activities, including those in the courtyard and on the ground floor, are free to attend.
