Czech-Slovak Ball 2026

The 12th edition of the Czech–Slovak Ball will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in the prestigious surroundings of the Municipal House in Prague, once again offering an exceptional evening of elegance, music, and high society.

This traditional gala brings together prominent figures from cultural, artistic, scientific, business, and public life, highlighting mutual respect and the enduring friendship between the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.

This year’s edition will be held under the motto “From Heritage to the Future” and will pay tribute to significant personalities and key moments of shared history. The program will commemorate the 90th anniversary of the birth of Václav Havel, honor the legendary soprano Edita Grúberová, and recall the historic victory of the Czechoslovak national football team at the 1976 European Championship. The evening will also pay homage to the legacy of Ľudovít Štúr, Tomáš Baťa, and the musical genius Antonín Dvořák.

The artistic program will blend tradition with contemporary culture, featuring leading Czech and Slovak performers, orchestral music, and folkloric elements. A festive atmosphere will be created by the Gustav Brom Radio Big Band together with the string section of the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra. The evening will be hosted by well-known presenters from both countries.
