On the weekend of January 18 and 19, 2025, the unique Nova Festival of Flavors, the largest winter food festival in the Czech Republic, will take place at Prague’s O2 Universum arena.
This extraordinary event promises a gourmet journey through Czech and European gastronomy under one roof. The festival will welcome not only the top of Czech cuisine but also two international stars – István Pesti and Jean-Philippe Blondet, both Michelin-starred chefs.
On Saturday, January 18, visitors can look forward to the culinary artistry of István Pesti, a Hungarian chef awarded two Michelin stars. István represents a combination of classic Hungarian cuisine and fresh Asian influences. His Platán Gourmet Restaurant has received recognition for blending tradition and innovation, with a focus on high-quality and regional ingredients.
On Sunday, January 19, the spotlight will shift to Jean-Philippe Blondet, a French chef awarded three Michelin stars. Blondet, who leads the prestigious Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester restaurant in London, brings elegant French haute cuisine, emphasizing fresh seasonal ingredients and perfect precision.
The festival will also feature twenty of the best Czech restaurants, including Eska, SaSaZu, Grandrestaurant Pupp, Mlýnec, Aromi, Kampa Park, and Cukrář Skála. A special VIP Gourmet Experience restaurant will offer an exclusive menu by Michelin-starred chefs in a separate space.
On the main stage, live cooking battles will take place, moderated by well-known personalities such as Kristina Kloubková and Roman Staša. Television culinary stars Radek Kašpárek, Přemek Forejt, and Jan Punčochář will showcase their culinary skills in live challenges.
