Knihex 15½ Prague

Knihex 15½ will take place on 6–7 December 2025 in Hall No. 13 at the Holešovice Market in Prague 7, transforming this industrial space into a lively hub of contemporary literature, small publishers, and book lovers.

Knihex is no longer “just another book fair.” It is primarily a meeting place—bringing together publishers, authors, illustrators, translators, cultural institutions, and readers who want to discover books with depth. The event showcases mainly small and medium-sized publishing houses that emphasize quality, original content, graphic design, and craftsmanship. A major advantage is that the stands are often staffed by the publishers and creators themselves, allowing visitors to chat with them, ask about the behind-the-scenes process, or get their book signed.

Among the exhibitors will be dozens of significant names from the Czech literary scene—such as Baobab, Meander, Labyrint & Raketa, Paseka, Karolinum, DharmaGaia, Alarm, A2, the Prague City Gallery, the Václav Havel Library, UMPRUM, the Academy of Performing Arts, the Academy of Fine Arts, and the Brno University of Technology. There will also be many smaller, specialized, and experimental projects presenting authorial comics, poetry, philosophy, photobooks, and art publications.

Knihex 15½ is not just about browsing stalls. A rich accompanying program will run throughout both days—for adults as well as children—including author readings, book launches, discussions, workshops, small performances, and quiet zones where visitors can sit down and dive into newly discovered books. The event also features a second-hand book stand, where people can bring books they no longer want and purchase others for a symbolic price—promoting sustainability and the circulation of books.
