Czech International AI Film Festival in Prague

On December 14, 2024, Prague will become a hub of innovation and creativity as the Czech International AI Film Festival (CIAIFF) showcases the best of AI-generated cinema.

Following the success of the AI Klapka project, this year’s festival arrives in its professional form, promising an unforgettable experience for film enthusiasts and technology aficionados alike.

CIAIFF focuses on films created using advanced AI tools, emphasizing creative approaches rather than mere technological demonstrations. “The true potential of AI film lies in its unique abilities to create something entirely new, not to mimic traditional cinema,” explains festival president Odair Faléco, founder of the global AI film database zero1cine.

The event will take place on December 14, 2024, at Kino Atlas in Prague. Attendees can look forward to screenings of top competition films, panel discussions, workshops, and a prestigious awards ceremony across seven categories. An international jury of AI and traditional filmmaking experts will select the winners who have pushed the boundaries of cinema.

Lukáš Benzl, director of the Czech AI Association, emphasizes that the festival’s goal is not only to professionalize AI filmmaking but also to position the Czech Republic as an innovative and open country for AI development. “We aim to create one of the most prestigious AI film festivals in the world,” he adds.
