On December 13, 2025, Prague will become a center of film innovation and experimentation. The third edition of the Czech International AI Film Festival (CIAIFF), a unique showcase dedicated to film creation using artificial intelligence, will take place at Cinema City Slovanský dům.
The festival is organized by the Czech Association of Artificial Intelligence together with the agency YDEAL and the platform zero1cine, with the ambition to show that the future of film has already begun.
While a traditional camera captures reality in front of the lens, artificial intelligence can reveal the dreams, imagination, and inner worlds of the creators. This is precisely the magic of CIAIFF — a festival positioned at the intersection of technology and art, demonstrating how AI is transforming the way stories and visual narratives are created.
The third edition will offer a competition program composed of selected films from more than a thousand submissions from around the world. Visitors will see works that push the boundaries of imagination and cinematic language. Awards will be given in several categories, including Best AI Film, Best Sci-Fi, Best Documentary, Best Experimental Film, Best Music Video, Best Screenplay, Best Photography, and Best Sound Design. Special awards will also be presented by partners Curious Refuge, Eleven Labs, and Minimax, who will support the winning creators in their artistic and technological development.
The winners will be chosen by an international jury of prominent personalities from the film and AI fields. Members include Odair Faléco, the festival’s president and an award-winning director; filmmaker Gaby Sittová; AI artist Mauricio Tonon; and Michaela Ternasky-Holland, a recipient of numerous international awards.
The program will also feature inspiring speakers exploring the intersection of creativity and artificial intelligence. Among the guests will be photographer and AI artist Boris Eldagsen, Justin Hackney of Wonder Studios, and Elliot Grove, founder of the Raindance Film Festival. Their talks and discussions will offer insights into emerging technologies and practical filmmaking experiences.
The Czech International AI Film Festival 2025 will take place over one intensive afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitors can look forward to screenings of competition films, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and a closing awards ceremony.
CIAIFF is not just a film competition — it’s a global platform where visionaries, creators, technological innovators, and enthusiasts of film and AI come together. It’s a space where art meets technology, where the boundaries of reality blur, and where a new era of filmmaking is being born.
