XIX. Prague Gothic Treffen

August 30th and 31st, 2024, Prague will once again become the center of gothic culture as local and international goths gather for the nineteenth edition of Prague Gothic Treffen. This two-day event will take place at the Prague clubs Fuchs2 and Bike Jesus, where you can look forward to a rich program filled with dark music, fantastic afterparties, and the traditional Gothic Picnic.

Prague Gothic Treffen is not a traditional festival; instead, it serves as a temporary refuge for those seeking new friendships, sharing experiences, and simply having fun. The main attraction is the music program, which this year features 14 bands. On stage, you can look forward to performances by Hamburg’s electro goths Girls Under Glass, the Swedish minimal/darkwave trio Abu Nein, Munich’s electronic act Rue Oberkampf, and many other intriguing artists.

This year’s Prague Gothic Treffen will feature a unique headliner coming from distant galaxies. After a 36-year wait, Swedish synthpop band Star Pilot On Channel K, also known as S.P.O.C.K., will make their first appearance for the Czech audience! This cult project, inspired by Star Trek stories and other sci-fi classics, will bring their distinctive blend of intergalactic humor and catchy melodies to the stage.

Among the performers this year are post-punk band Raskolnikov, German darkwave act In Mitra Medusa Inri, the Italian-British Alien Vampires, and Polish deathrockers Eat My Teeth. French nightwave duo Denuit and Swedish electronic band Emmon will showcase their unique sounds, while Italian all-star group This Eternal Decay will add an extra dimension to the program.
