Get to know the stories behind the street art, murals and other contemporary art in the streets of Karlin this weekend! Do you walk past the large-scale paintings on the streets of Prague every day and wonder what the idea behind them is and what the artists wanted to say?

As a thriving Prague district, Karlín offers many works of contemporary art in its public spaces. Whether it is large-scale paintings on the walls of buildings, so-called murals, or sculptural works.

We will take a walk through the whole of Karlín and find out what is behind each of these works. We won’t miss paintings like Universe of Jellyfish, Wake-up Call or depictions of a utopian city.

We’ll also stop at unconventional gargoyles in the form of giant eagle heads, David Černý’s Lilith and we’ll take a look at the surface of Mars.
