On Monday, January 5, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the historic center of Prague will host the traditional Three Kings Parade, which symbolically brings the Christmas season to a close.
Led by the Three Kings riding camels, the parade recalls the biblical story of the journey of the Wise Men to Bethlehem to see the newborn Jesus and offers a unique cultural and spiritual experience set against Prague’s iconic historic landmarks.
The event is not only a celebration of the Feast of the Three Kings, but also a gesture of gratitude to everyone who supports the Three Kings Collection, helping people in need. The parade is open to the general public and is an ideal event for families with children, Prague residents, and visitors who wish to experience a traditional Czech custom associated with the end of the Christmas season.
Parade Route
The ceremonial procession will depart from Malostranské náměstí, continue across Charles Bridge and Mariánské náměstí, and finish at Old Town Square. Here, the event will conclude at the main stage, where the Three Kings will symbolically present their gifts to baby Jesus in the Nativity scene.
Program of the Day
3:00 PM – Blessing at the Church of St. Thomas
The parade is preceded by a church service and the blessing of the Three Kings carolers, given by Prague Archbishop Jan Graubner at the Church of St. Thomas in Malá Strana.
3:30 PM – Start of the Three Kings Parade with camels
The procession sets off from Malostranské náměstí and heads through the city center.
4:45 PM – Three Kings Concert at Old Town Square
The parade concludes with a musical program featuring the Czech Christmas Mass “Hej mistře” by Jakub Jan Ryba, adding a festive and dignified atmosphere to the event.
The Three Kings Parade in Prague is a rare opportunity to experience a living tradition, the spiritual dimension of the holidays, and the unique atmosphere of historic Prague. If you are looking for a calm, symbolic, yet visually captivating event to start the new year, this is one you should not miss.
