New edition of the well known festival is here again this October. With a different name, Prague Sounds has replaced Festival Strings and promises a lots of great performers such as Nils Frahm, Laura Mvula, Ghostpoet, the jubilant Jiří Stivín and others.
The festival offers various music regardless of genres. This year, the neoclassical keyboard magician Nils Frahm, the charismatic singer Laura Mvula, the peculiar master of words Ghostpoet, the jazz all-star quartet Redman – Mehldau – McBride – Blade, the drummer Makaya McCraven dubbed “beat scientist,” the pioneers of acoustic techno Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble, or the jubilant legend Ji Stivn will confirm this. The festival’s 26th edition concludes with the previously planned concert of the Snarky Puppy group and a solo recital by mandolinist Chris Thile.
