Do not miss the largest folk dance event in Central Europe during 18 July – 21 July in Prague! You will have the opportunity to see more than 1000 performances which will all share one idea – keeping up with our traditions (dance and music-wise). The performers will be from various countries throughout the world, such as Europe, Africa or Asia.
Apart from the music, all the participans will have a chance to admire the elaborately decorated folk costumes that were worn for a range of occasions, including weddings, the market, the rich, and the apparel of a ploughman, shepherd, or hunter. These are frequently authentic costumes that have been passed down through the generations.
