Days of European Film Prague

Days of European Film 2026 will take place in Prague from April 9 to 14, 2026, offering audiences, for the thirty-third time, a selection of the most interesting works from contemporary European cinema.

The festival has long focused on films that do not usually make it into Czech distribution. Visitors thus have a unique opportunity to discover titles that might otherwise remain hidden – from distinctive auteur films to award-winning debuts by emerging filmmakers.

The program is divided into several thematic sections and includes feature, documentary, and animated films, as well as comedies and dramas. The main part of the program will take place in Prague cinemas Světozor, Edison, and Přítomnost, where dozens of screenings will be held over several days. However, the festival is not limited to the capital – it will also travel to other cities across the Czech Republic, making European cinema accessible to a broader audience.
