Prague Quiet Music Collective is a new ensemble for contemporary music with an emphasis on muting, decelerating and being present. The first edition of our Prague Quiet Music Festival will feature the premieres of five new compositions performed by the Prague Quiet Music Collective and two guests, Fredrik Rasten on guitars and Miroslav Beinhauer on a unique six-note harmonium. Delicate compositions by composers from all over the world will be performed in the captivating backdrop of the Czech Museum of Music’s auditorium, which will be transformed into a rare oasis of slow-flowing, contemplative music for one Advent evening with a plant installation by Hænke, lighting design by Tomáš Morávek and tea by Meetea. Weeds became the theme of the evening through a confluence of influences, combining plant-based scenography with a musical component (literally in some cases). Join us for a magical evening of subtlety on Saturday, December 18, at the Czech Museum of Music. Quiet Music Festival will be looking forward to seeing you there!
