From October 15 to 18, the first edition of the Divadelní Mlýn festival will take place at the Mlejn Cultural Center in Prague.
Over the course of four days, various amateur theater troupes will perform there, offering not only the performances themselves but also interesting workshops and discussions about theater.
The program includes several different genres. On Thursday, the festival will open with Divadlo Riyo’s production of the absurdist comedy Who Is Mr. Schmitt by Sébastien Thiéry. On Friday, Divadlo D13 will present the situational comedy The Perfect Wedding by Robin Hawdon. Saturday’s program will feature, among other things, the improvisational performance A Tragedy Full of Mistakes by the Shakespearean Improvisation Company.
The performances will be followed by feedback from a panel of experts. The festival also includes hands-on workshops focused on theater practice.
The festival takes place at KD Mlejn in Prague 13. Individual tickets for the performances cost 100 Kč.
If you enjoy going to the theater and want to experience something different, such as the work of amateur theater groups, you can choose a single performance or attend the festival over the course of several days.
