Between April 30 and May 4, downtown Budapest’s Tereza restaurant will transform as Cinco de Mayo Week arrives, bringing the vibrant spirit of Mexico right to the heart of the city!
This is the week when flavors, colors, rhythms, and the celebration of courage all come together — without compromise.

Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico’s Independence Day, but a commemoration of a historic victory: in 1862, during the Battle of Puebla, a small group of Mexican soldiers stood strong against the overwhelming forces of the French army.
The holiday celebrates not only bravery but also culture, perseverance, and the love of life itself — a spirit that Tereza brings to life, offering days filled with Mexican joy, vibrancy, and hospitality.

This year’s program is packed with unique experiences:
