Spring of Oldtimers

In May, the Hungarian Railway History Park will once again be filled with vintage cars, motorcycles and retro atmosphere as Oldtimer Show Budapest returns for a two-day event.

The event combines a classic car exhibition, a gathering and a family-friendly festival, where visitors can not only see rare vehicles up close, but also explore one of Europe’s largest railway museums with the same ticket.

The two-day “Elegance Classic” exhibition will feature selected Hungarian and international oldtimer cars and motorcycles. Alongside classic veteran models, visitors can also see retro tuning cars, trucks, buses and other special vehicles.

Both Saturday and Sunday will include OT gatherings, where visitors can walk among the arriving cars, talk with owners and spot rarely seen models.

One of the weekend’s main highlights will be the OT car beauty contest award ceremony on Sunday afternoon.

The railway park will also be fully open

The entrance ticket is not only valid for the automotive programs — visitors can explore the entire Railway History Park as well. The locomotive halls will be open, railway attractions will operate throughout the weekend, and several legendary vehicles can be viewed up close.

rail carts and handcars
locomotive turntable
garden railway
railway model house
steam locomotives
the famous red NOHAB locomotive will also be open to visitors
Family programs all day long

Throughout the day, the park will feature:

free inflatable castles
a huge playground
Formula racing taxi display
military reenactment camp
retro bands and stage programs
plush toys and games for children

The military camp will include American, Vietnamese and British reenactment groups with authentic uniforms and demonstrations.

Daily ticket price: 5000 HUF/person/day
Free for children under 3 years old.
Tickets are available only on-site.

Parking is free for visitors, and the venue is easily accessible by car, public transport, bicycle and train.
