1. Secret Garden and Spaces 

In April, Imagine Budapest will continue to offer a number of great city walks. On the Secret Gardens and Spaces Walk, participants can enjoy an immersive and entertaining stroll while discovering the hidden corners of the city. The programme will take you to the city’s hidden green oases and mysterious private and institutional gardens, where fragrant flowers, old trees and human stories await you.

2. Kapszli Psychology Days 

The KAPSZLI Psychology Days, Hungary’s largest free psychoeducation conference, will take place between 5 and 7 April. This year’s event is called “Our Faces”, so the presentations will address similar questions. What does it mean to create our identity? What possible ‘masks’ do we wear in our everyday or private lives?

3. I bike Budapest

The slogan of this year’s bike parade is “Cycle through the city in a way you can’t any other day”.The aim of this bike demonstration is to create a Budapest where everyone can ride a bike, and not just on this day. Come with us, because a liveable city is in everyone’s interest, not just cyclists’!

4. Winelovers Grand 

The wine festival season kicks off in April with the Winelovers Grand. More than 150 Hungarian exhibitors will showcase their excellent products, and over 100 international products will also be presented. There will also be expert pop-up demonstrations and master classes.

5. Sakura Festival

This April, the ELTE Botanical Garden will host the popular Sakura Festival, inspired by the Japanese Ohanami. As with the traditional Japanese festival, visitors can picnic on a blanket in the garden and enjoy the cherry blossoms. The weekend’s activities include a variety of cultural activities, including language classes, concerts, martial arts and weapons demonstrations, and workshops.

6. Budapest Spring Festival 

The Budapest Spring Festival will take place this year between 29 April and 12 May, with more than 50 events in nearly 30 venues. This year’s programme invites you to relax, have fun, reflect, think and connect in a spirit of urban diversity, openness and renewal. The festival explores the phenomena of our time and our environment through a diversity of artistic and cultural means, across genres and generations, and through performances by outstanding artists.

7. Blahaluisiana – Budapest Park

For the first time this year, Budapest Park will host an exciting Blahaluisiana concert. Celebrate spring with Barbi Schoblocher on 25 April, and her fan-favourite songs. Love Me, Too Far, Close Enough, You Tear My Heart Out – just a few iconic songs from the repertoire. Come and party, the event will also be held in case of bad weather, as rain ponchos can be purchased at the Park’s stalls.

8. Beton.Hofi concert

The upcoming concert of Beton.Hofi promises to be a great success. After Azahriah, Pogány Induló and other Generation Z icons, Beton.Hofi is preparing for an arena concert. The artist is waiting for his fans on 13 April at the MVM Dóm with his new album.

9. Carson Coma birthday concert 

Carson Coma celebrates its fifth birthday this year with a concert on 6 April at the MVM Dome. Known as one of the most influential bands in the local music scene in recent years, the band will bring fan-favourite songs to the night. Don’t miss one of the biggest parties of the spring!

10. RAZ Restaurant

If you like traditional Hungarian food, but don’t mind a little twist on your plate, then make sure you visit the ARAZ restaurant in the heart of the city centre. It’s also a great choice for a lunch break at work, as its accessibility is unparalleled, turning onto Dohány street from Astoria and you’ll find the restaurant. You can expect a bit of a crowd at lunchtime, however, as ARAZ offers a daily menus.
