Fairytale Boat

On May 23, families can join a special afternoon program in Budapest that combines a walking tour, storytelling and a boat experience on the Danube.

The event starts at the upper station of the Buda Castle Funicular, where guests gather before heading on a guided fairytale walk through the Buda Castle district toward the area around the Fisherman’s Bastion.

During the walk, children can listen to stories and take part in playful interactive moments while exploring one of the most beautiful parts of Budapest. The organizers also clarified that the walk ends at Fisherman’s Bastion, not at the Citadel as previously shown on some promotional materials.

After the walk, participants continue down to the riverside together and board a boat for the final part of the program.

The one-hour onboard performance features live Walt Disney movie songs along with a short instrument introduction designed especially for younger children. The event is mainly recommended for kindergarten and primary school kids, but the relaxed atmosphere makes it enjoyable for parents as well.

17:00–18:00 – musical children’s performance on the boat
