Pántlika Restaurant in Városliget is the perfect combination of traditional and new wave cuisine. The menu offers classic Hungarian dishes such as goulash soup or stew, but the speciality of the place is the burger selection: the burgers, named after world cities, are dominated by the spices and ingredients of the country. The Budapest burger is not to be missed, with fried eggs, pickled cucumber, mac and cheese and a slice or two of winter salami alongside the classic meat patty. One of the advantages of the place is that it has a huge terrace, making it ideal for larger families from spring to autumn.
The music is impeccable, and the food and drinks are excellent. And even if there’s no room, you can still satisfy your appetite: the Pántliká also offers a so-called “walking menu”.
