Bagossy Brothers Company – Budapest Park

On August 21 and 22, the Bagossy Brothers Company will once again take centre stage at Budapest Park. The band will perform on two consecutive evenings, with two different shows, offering a unique concert experience on each night.

On the first evening, August 21, the special production “Csillag az égen” (“Star in the Sky”) will arrive at Budapest Park. During the concert, well-known Bagossy songs will be performed in folk-inspired arrangements, blending the band’s distinctive sound with traditional folk music. The musical experience will be further enriched by folk dancers performing on stage.

The production is directed by Miklós H. Vecsei, with choreography by István Berecz, who has been leading the dance sessions at Budapest Park since their beginning. “Csillag az égen” is therefore much more than a concert: it is a unique stage production built around the meeting of music and folk dance. According to the organisers, this will be the first – and possibly the last – presentation of the production of its kind in Hungary.

Before Friday’s concert, Góbé will take the stage at 6:50 PM, followed by Bagossy Brothers Company at 7:50 PM. The evening doesn’t end there: from 10 PM, the 5th Anniversary Folkpark Dance House Festival will continue, and concert ticket holders can join the afterparty free of charge.

On August 22, audiences can expect a classic Bagossy concert. This time, the band will perform their much-loved hits in their familiar arrangements, with the open-air setting providing another opportunity for the audience to sing along to their favourite songs.

Saturday evening begins with a performance by Telehold at 6:50 PM, followed by Bagossy Brothers Company at 7:50 PM. After the concert, from 10 PM, the night will continue across several dance floors featuring a variety of musical styles. The afterparties are free to attend with a concert ticket.
