Korean Film Festival

Between October 14 and 21, many Korean works will be screened at the Corvin Cinema; this year, the 15th Korean Film Festival will screen a total of 38 films, divided into 4+1 sections. At the festival, the audience can see works full of humor and emotions, films about extraordinary life situations and self-awareness, short films and animations, as well as works dealing with women’s rights and existential crisis situations.

October 14-21, 2022 between 4+1 sections, the Korean Cultural Center will screen a total of 38 films in the Corvin Cinema in Budapest and the Apolló Cinema in Debrecen.
➟ In the Fresh section, the local audience can get to know the latest blockbusters currently playing in Korean cinemas, seasoned with a lot of humor and emotion.
➟ In the Faces section, which presents outstanding representatives of the Korean film world, we deal with the work of director Byun Young-joo, who mainly deals with women’s rights and existential crisis situations.
➟ For the Focus block this year, we selected films that brought extraordinary life situations to the screen.
➟ In the Extra section, the audience can see short films and animations, and we are preparing again with ➟ Bonus section films, in which the focus this year will be on self-knowledge and life-changing encounters.

? The price of tickets is HUF 900. Tickets for film screenings can be purchased through the cinemas’ ticketing system.

The films of the Korean Film Festival are also competing for the votes of the Hungarian audience this year! To vote, all you have to do is cast your vote to the Festival’s volunteers after the screenings. The audience award will be presented in a ceremonial setting at the end of the Festival.
