Exhibition Of Lost And Found

11 years ago, the audience saw the unique exhibition of the Budapest Transport Company for the first time, which presented surprising, amusing, interesting and valuable objects left on transport vehicles. This year, the exhibition will be held again in the Underground Railway Museum, and it will be revealed what has changed in recent years. Are passengers taking better care of their valuables?

Tools left on vehicles give an impression of the object culture of an era. From them, you can learn about the clothing fashion of the time, reading habits or, for example, the latest generation of mobile phones.

Although the objects of the exhibition were lost, they did not disappear. They begin their strictly regulated migration, which, if lucky, ends with the owner. What happens to abandoned objects, what rules apply to their handling and what do our passengers most often leave behind? You can find out all this and many other interesting facts from our latest exhibition.

As a continuation of our highly successful exhibition organized a decade ago in the Underground Railway Museum, the interesting objects forgotten on public transport vehicles, then found and placed in the “Found Objects Department” will tell their story. Since many of us have a personal story about an object that was forgotten on a vehicle and then bypassed, everyone can continue to weave the tale.
