Jewish Cultural Festival

The Jewish Festival, dedicated to Jewish culture and traditions, will be held on Sunday at Madách Square. The day-long family day will feature NGOs and cultural associations, offering a look behind the traditions, customs, tastes and words. There will be lots of dancing, music and interesting performances.

Bigger, prettier and greener – Judafest is renewed! Join us for a picnic in the middle of the city for the Jewish community’s biggest celebration!
For one day, Madách Square will be transformed: the grey concrete will be replaced by grass, parked cars will be replaced by benches and bean bags, and the square will be lined with smaller and larger stages. These will feature performances by renowned artists and public figures such as László Dés, András Dés, Lajos Parti-Nagy, Péter Závada, the Parno Graszt band and Ádám Moser, the Itt és Most Company with László Mérő, and the Kaláka Ensemble! But it is not only the square that will be revived, there will also be exciting programs, workshops, discussions and Jewish-themed walks in the Rumbach Synagogue in the 7th district.
This year is also the anniversary of Budapest, so we will be part of the Budapest 150 series of events, celebrating Jewish Budapest together!
But the most important participants of the day are still the Jewish organisations, because as always, this is the biggest meeting point of the year between us, our partners and you.
