Zoo Festival

This year the Zoo Festival will be celebrated for the first time, on the occassion of the Day of Zoos and the birthday of the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden. During the festival, the organizers await visitors with colorful programs from morning until 10 p.m., including family programs, educational walks and lectures, as well as concerts.

The Zoo Festival will be held for the first time between August 4-7, 2022.

? The multi-day festival is organized in connection with the birthday of the Capital Zoo and Botanical Garden, which is the Day of Zoos in Hungary.

?During the day, there will be family programs, such as paper dipping, photo theater, quiz game and crafts. On guided walks, you can get to know the history of the garden, touching the historic buildings. In the afternoons, you can listen to short educational lectures reinforcing the Zoo’s mission in the Magic Mountain.

?On the days of the festival, we can also participate in children’s concerts, among others, the Veronaki and Kiskalász bands will perform. In the evenings, we await our visitors with live concerts at Főkaputér, with a colorful musical palette. Among others, the band Lilium, Paulina and Ivan & The Parazol will take the stage.

✔️Tickets, passes:
The programs can be visited with an entrance ticket to the Capital Zoo and Botanical Garden, an annual pass and a 4-season pass. During the festival, the opening hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The ticket offices close at 20:00. Animal houses operate according to the general order.
