You can enjoy your nice and cold beer in an authentic space with a truly great atmosphere. A little tip, check out the tiles on their floor. They really do make the whole space even more unique.

Kolkovna River Park has become Pilsner’s beer bar and restaurant, which, like its predecessor, offers good beer in a modern building with a fantastic view of the Danube River. Like a proper Pilsner beer hall, it offers not only great beer but also classics such as sirloin steak on cream, beef goulash, ribs, smoked knee, as well as dishes ideal for beer such as mini cutlets, chicken wings or Olomouc cheesesteaks.
Great beer, great food and friendly service. Why did we choose U Holuba for the list of the best beer bars in Bratislava, even though it is in Záhorská Bystrica? First of all, because of the fantastic Pilsner, which will be tapped by either the winner or finalist of the Slovak Pilsner beer competition.
Plzeňská brewery is quite the place. Are you asking why? They had the first tank beer in Slovakia and a fabulous location, right in the city center at Mostová 8. They can seat 230 people and offer only the “crème de la crème” of beer that is stored in huge, cooper tanks that are part of the interior design of the whole brewery.

If a big space with a lot of people is not your place, you might like the Čierny Pes bar a bit more. It’s a smaller, but stylish bar, which you can find in the heart of Old Town. It is a bar with a very special and cozy atmosphere and a perfect place to take a break from all the people on the streets. Since there are only about 40 spots, it can be difficult to get a table in the peak hours. We recommend you reserve a table. Since 2015 Čierny Pes is offering different craft beers from mini-breweries such as Kaltenecker, Wywar Holíč or Padre Craft. You can check the current offer on their FB page.
At Fabrika you can enjoy several types of high-quality beer. Fabrika is producing their very own Pilsner type lager, American Pale Ale, light wheat beer with a pleasant aroma or a 13°dark lager. If you prefer to have a beer that you already know, choose from the classics like Pilsner Urquell or Gambrinus. Don’t forget that you can pair up these amazing beers with delicious meals.

Can you imagine having a good beer or two and enjoying a view over the city, the Bratislava castle and the Old Town? Dunajský pivovar is a very well reconstructed boat, that houses both a lovely restaurant and a small botel. When you’ll walk into the ground floor of Dunajský Pivovar and notice huge beer tanks. These tanks filled with beer are the heart of the whole restaurant. The restaurant has huge windows and a great terrace for almost 500 people to enjoy the view and the whole atmosphere of this place, that lives and breaths good beer and great food.

Steinplats is a fairly new bar with a very original atmosphere. The concept of the bar is also something special. You see, this bar was a former public toilet. However, you would never guess that. The bar is super cozy indoors and the outdoor terrace is always covered in flowers, has a perfect location and makes for a great addition to the city. And let us not forget to mention all of the tasty beers that have on their list. Beers that Steinplats offers are from small, but quality breweries.
Another novelty in the centre of Bratislava, right on Laurinska Street. It offers draught Pilsner, dark Šariš, but also a choice of brewers. In addition to beer, you can eat well in Hladinka, the pub offers dishes ideal for beer such as baked sausage, pulled pork, pickled beer cheese, or pork terrine.
Verne offers more than you’d expect. Mostly 17 fantastic draught beer specials from both well-known and lesser-known breweries worth sampling. There is no shortage of traditional lagers, IPAs, APAs, or unusual flavours. A bonus is the great location of the establishment, right in the centre of Bratislava, on the renowned Panská Street. In addition to great beers, visitors also enjoy the very helpful staff.
Finally, we’ve picked out something in the wider city centre for you. However, beer lovers know Meetnica on Mýtná Street well. Are you in the mood for a Czech beer, or will you try a well-drafted beer from a craft brewery in Poland, Belgium or Sweden? Or do you fancy a classic Guinness? You’ll find it all at Meetnica. You can check out the current selection of beers on their FB.
Cheers!
