The Little Carpathian Cultural Center invites you to the Modra Manor House on Saturday, March 28, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., for the spring event “Easter Inspirations.” There will be something for both children and adults in the varied program. Highlights include craft demonstrations, folklore performances, an Easter scavenger hunt, creative workshops, and live animals.
You can also visit the newly opened café with a wine bar and discover quality wines from the 2025 Little Carpathian Wine Salon.
The Saturday before Easter will be dedicated to celebrating the arrival of spring in the courtyard and garden of the Modra Manor House. You can draw inspiration directly from the artisans, who will offer a glimpse into crafts with a long tradition in Slovakia. Master wickerworkers will demonstrate various techniques for weaving whips using 8, 13, or 18 rods. Finished whips will also be available for purchase on-site.
The children’s folk ensembles DFS Magdalénka and DFS Lastovička will perform traditions associated with welcoming spring.
Young visitors can look forward to a favorite activity: a fun Easter egg hunt. After finding and bringing back a predetermined number of Easter eggs, each hunter will receive a well-deserved reward.
The youngest visitors will enjoy the mini-farm, face painting, and interactive park games.
We’ll also be transported to a magical world of fantasy, where we’ll be drawn in by a performance from the ZáBaVKa Theater.
In the creative workshops, you’ll be able to make forest-themed crafts, felt animals, decorate Easter gingerbread cookies, and create wooden and paper ornaments.
At the manor, you can also visit the newly opened café with a wine bar and explore the Little Carpathian Wine Salon 2025. You can also enjoy great food in the relaxation area in the garden, which will feature a reading room, or at the craft sale and exhibition in the greenhouse.
