We invite you to the Frida Bollani Magoni Concert on Thursday, June 12, 2025 in the large hall of the Slovak Radio at Mýtná 1 in Bratislava. The concert program consists of cover versions of the greatest Italian and world song hits. Admission is free.
Frida Bollani Magoni, pianist and singer. She belongs to an emerging generation of musical performers who are able to link the past with the present. Her exceptional ability to transform the minimalism of her singing and piano playing into an explosion of emotion gives her concerts an intimate atmosphere and turns them into an immersive musical experience.
Born in 2004 into a family of musicians, she began playing piano and studying Braille music at the age of seven under the pedagogical guidance of Maestro Paolo Razzuoli. As a singer and pianist she performed with the Orchestra Operaia di Massimo Nunzi (Massimo Nunzi Jazz Big Band) at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. At the age of fourteen, she performed in front of an audience of ten thousand as musical guest at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Special Olympics National Summer Games for Disabled Athletes in Montecatini Terme.
She occasionally performs with his parents Petra Magoni and Stefano Bollani in jazz concerts organized in Italy and abroad. In 2019, she performed a duet with her mother Petra Magoni at the prestigious Premio Tenco festival in Sanremo. On the occasion of Italy’s National Day 2021, she shone at the Quirinale Palace, where, in the presence of President Sergio Mattarella, she played and sang, in addition to the Italian National Anthem, the songs Caruso by Lucio Dalla and La Cura by Franco Battiato, as a tribute to two icons of Italian songwriting.
In 2021, she accompanied contemporary world ballet star Roberto Bolle in Milan as part of the benefit program “Extraordinary Work. Roberto Bolle in support of the Milan Cathedral. (L’Opera Meravigliosa. Roberto Bolle per il Duomo di Milano). On 1 January 2022, Frida was the guest of Roberto Bolle’s dance programme “Danza con me” broadcast on the main evening programme on Rai 1. The summer tour 2022 on the axis London-Paris-Naples sold out to the last seat. On 20 June, her first music album “Primo Tour” was released.
In 2023 she starred in six episodes of the new series of the acclaimed Italian writer Gianrico Carofiglio’s programme “Dilemmi” on Rai 3. After completing two extremely successful summer tours in 2022 and 2023, Frida Bollani Magoni comes with a new concert programme. As part of her tour, she also performed at La Scala in Milan alongside the trumpeter Paolo Fresa.
The artist was also a guest of honor at the Frankfurt International Book Fair 2024. In addition to playing the piano and singing, she also plays the guitar and harmonica. Frida Bollani Magoni is almost completely blind. However, this health disability has not prevented her from fully expressing her love for music. On the contrary, as she says, she considers it a gift, because thanks to it she has acquired an unprecedented feeling and perfect hearing.
