Multi-genre dance hall of all styles such as BBOY, POPPING, LOCKING, WAACKING, VOGUE, HIP-HOP, STREET DANCE, HUSTLE. Come and have fun and dance freely with us.
We are creating a community space in the new Marketplace. After a successful summer we are moving indoors,we are going to breathe life into an iconic place – the New Market Hall. Join us!
For several years now, we have been meeting in the summer at various places by the fountains and in the parks to practice dancing with friends. Whether it’s street-dancing, locking,popping, breaking or hustle. My vision is to make a multi-genre dance hall where the community comes together and dances to different music.
I do this for the sake of building community and because dance heals, it gets us into the here and now. I do it because dance creates opportunities, opportunities to meet new people, opportunities to do something nice with your life. I believe we need to dance regularly, to be in touch with our bodies, to be in touch with nature, to be in touch with the city. To feel that I still have a body, and that’s why I dance.
This is the space, where we get together with friends and dance together in the fresh air, letting loose.
The music is played by ourselves and will be mostly funk/disco/hip hop, but sometimes there will also be classical or deep tunes as you can also call experimental.
