We invite you to the exhibition of Petr Stanický in the premises of the Czech Centre in Bratislava.
In his site-specific installation and objects in the space of the Czech Centre Bratislava, the artist works with geometric structures made of industrial materials and light, which he develops into new visual contexts. The objects are assembled from second-hand materials such as metal and reinforcement nets, air ducts or discarded glass laboratory tubes.
Petr Stanický is an internationally exhibited artist and head of the Glass – Space – Object studio at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications, Tomas Bata University in Zlín. He has long focused on working with glass as a universal material, with the help of which he creates impressive spatial objects and installations. His current work is situated on the imaginary tri-border of free sculpture, architecture and design – in 2019 he placed his sculptural intervention Evocations in the Victoria & Albert Museum as part of the prestigious London Design Festival, and in 2021 he represented the Czech Republic as the only artist at the international show.
