We invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition “STARS” at the National Gallery of Art.
Since the beginning of the century, Czech artists have responded swiftly and convincingly to the alternation of individual tendencies in art and in some cases have been able to predict and co-create them in the European and world context.
Such was, for example, the role of František Kupka, who was at the origin of abstract painting. All of them tried to understand and follow new currents of opinion and also to develop them in an original way in an active relationship to the centres of the development of European art as well as to domestic conditions.
