Hajao Mijazaki

All fans of anime, but also of movies in general, have a unique opportunity to watch one of the films of the legendary Hayao Miyazaki.

Hayao Miyazaki is a famous Japanese film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, author and co-founder of Studio Ghibli. His films are known for their beautiful animation, captivating story and strong environmental themes.

He has won numerous awards for his work, including an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for “Spirited Away”. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Miyazaki often draws many of the shots in his films by hand and is a strong advocate of traditional hand-drawn animation, criticizing the over-reliance on computer-generated imagery in modern animated films.

In fact, all of his works are meticulously crafted and each is brimming with imagination, deeper themes and human stories. Some of his best-known films include Princess Mononoke, Journey into Fantasy, Howl’s Moving Castle, My Neighbour Totoro, Kaze tachinu, and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
