One of the most wonderful times of the year is here! A time when humanity, emotion and kindness are a little closer to us again and we are even more aware of the preciousness of interpersonal relationships.
Christmas Petržalka starts on Friday 28 November and runs until Saturday 21 December 2025. For almost four weeks you can look forward to a varied programme for the less and more demanding, as well as a number of side events and charity events.
From November 28 to December 21, Námestie Republiky Square will be transformed into a magical place full of scents, lights, music, and joy. Christmas Petržalka 2025 will bring everything that belongs to the holidays – from traditional delicacies to unforgettable experiences for the whole family.
What can you look forward to?
Liquid and solid treats and gifts to delight you in 14 houses decorated in the colors of Petržalka.
A musical program: Robo Opatovský, Peter Lipa, František Nedvěd Produkce, Janais, Kochanski Band, Meky Žbirka Tribute, Jean Valjean Orchestra, and many others.

Stamp competition! Shop at the markets, collect stamps, and spin the Christmas wheel of fortune for a gift.
Every weekend, there will be live animals – alpacas from Bite&Byte AlpacaFarm, sheep and goats from Sokoliareň and Mini ZOO Devín, which children can pet and feed.
Snow park, carousel, wooden nativity scene, and sports activities for young and old. Visitors of all ages can get active in the snow park, where everyone can enjoy real winter fun. ☃️
Of course, there will be the lighting of the Christmas tree and FREE Mayor’s punch served by Ján Hrčka himself.
All this in the magical atmosphere of new fairy-tale decorations that will light up the entire square.
New this year will be fluffy alpacas, which will be waiting for you every Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and a sheep and a goat on Sundays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In addition, children will be able to enter the enclosure and, under supervision, pet and feed all the animals or take pictures with them. 🐐🐑
Of course, there will be attractions such as a fairytale carousel and a consecrated wooden nativity scene.
There will also be a number of accompanying programs organized by our colleagues from the Petržalka Cultural Facilities and the Petržalka Local Library. 😎
The markets will also be made more attractive and visible by new fairy-tale decorations with lots of lights, which will bring a truly magical atmosphere to our neighborhood. Let yourself be surprised.
