The largest urban festival of traditional Slovak crafts with the resonating name of DNI MAJSTROV ÚĽUV 2025 will take place from 6 September to 7 September 2025 on Hviezdoslav Square, Rybné Square and Panská Street in front of Bibiana in Bratislava’s Old Town.
Thousands of small and large visitors will stream through the entrance gates at Hviezdoslav Square and Rybné Square on both days of the festival. Every year they come to experience the unique atmosphere of the event, which gives them the opportunity to touch the craft and admire its diversity, to broaden their horizons, to awaken the unknown in themselves and through the personal stories of craftsmen to pay tribute to their work and life journeys.
You will see with your own eyes crafts such as blacksmithing, tinkering, wood carving, wood splitting, wood carving, pottery, embroidery, leather making, basket making, lace making, loom weaving, Easter egg decorating, glass painting, musical instrument making and many others.
During the weekend of 6- 7. September, from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, over a hundred craftswomen, masters of folk art production and craftsmen from all over Slovakia will showcase their craft skills and present products with the seal of generational pride in the heart of Bratislava’s Old Town for the 35th time.
Hviezdoslav Square will host a variety of crafts and a varied cultural programme, while at Rybné Square you will learn about the traditional processing of flax, hemp and nettles as part of ÚĽUV’s year-round theme. The craft clubs at the ÚĽUV Regional Craft Centre in Bratislava will also present their activities.
In the extremely popular craft workshops of the ÚĽUV SCHOOL OF CRAFTS, children will be able to try their hand at, for example, spinning on a potter’s wheel, working with wire, textiles, wood and painting on glass, and they will be able to watch theatre performances in front of the BIBIANA on Panská Street.
The atmosphere of the festival will be completed by gastrozones with dishes of traditional Slovak cuisine.
Be with us and take to your homes products with the seal of generational pride, localism, but most of all infinite humanity!
