Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum. The Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum location is only 20 km from Bratislava, close to the borders of the three states of Slovakia, Hungary and Austria. Just its location by the Danube and a walk in the park are worth a visit.

Danubiana Museum was founded in 2000 by Dutch art collector and supporter Gerard Meulensteen from Eindhoven and Slovak gallerist Vincent Polakovič.

Since then, Danubiana has welcomed in her premises the works of the most important art personalities not only of European but also of world art. Joan Miró, Sam Francis, Karel Appel, Magdalena Abakanowicz, Lucebert, Walasse Ting, Antoni Clavé, Martín Chirino, Markus Prachensky, Ilona Kesserü Ilona, ​​Jozef Jankovič, Rudolf Sikora, Vladimír Kompánek, Miroslav Cipár, Vladimír Popovič etc.

You could see the work of these world-famous artists in the Danubiana Museum, as well as King JV Juan Carlos I of Spain and his wife Sofia did, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, Queen Sonja of Norway, Prince Albert II of Monaco, Princess Mona of Oman and many other cultural and social figures. .

For art lovers, we certainly don’t have to present this museum of modern art, but we also highly recommend it to others, because this place is really magical. The atmosphere here is literally relaxing. The minimalist environment of the museum building with exhibited works is in perfect harmony.


By car from the center of Bratislava, the journey takes 25 minutes and by bus still comfortable 35 minutes from the Nové SND bus stop located in the city center.
