The Coppedè Quarter almost feels like it belongs to an imaginary city. Designed by architect Gino Coppedè in the early 20th century, it combines Art Nouveau, Art Deco, medieval and fantastical elements into a completely unconventional architectural ensemble. The complex revolves around Piazza Mincio and its unusual Fountain of the Frogs. We chose it because it offers a completely different perspective on Rome: here the city feels less ancient or Baroque and more like something from a fairytale.
