August in Prague will once again belong to a unique open-air theater event — Summer Grébovka with MA Theatre, taking place from August 3 to 28, 2026, in the iconic Grotta space within Havlíčkovy Sady, also known as Grébovka.
This summer stage, set in a neo-Renaissance monument in the middle of the Vinohrady park, will offer for the seventh time an extraordinary cultural experience — this year featuring 20 evenings full of diverse theatrical performances.
During August, Divadlo MA will perform 5 remarkable productions that will delight both Czech audiences and international visitors:
Jak je důležité míti… Oscara (comedy, premiere, CZ)
Být Marlene Dietrich (original play, CZ)
Běh života (comedy, CZ)
Buenos Aires, Final Destination! (nonverbal original play)
13 Faces of a Woman (nonverbal original play)
Performances take place Monday through Friday at 8:00 PM, inviting audiences to enjoy pleasant summer evenings in the inspiring surroundings of Grébovka. The venue also offers refreshments, such as at the Pavilon Grébovka restaurant, the Altán, or the Grébovka wine cellar, which is open every Friday.
Whether you’re looking for a cultural refresh during the summer days or an unusual spot for evening relaxation, Summer Grébovka with Divadlo MA will offer both — a blend of theater, history, and the atmosphere of a unique location in the heart of the city.
When: August 3–28, 2026, Monday–Friday at 8:00 PM
Where: Grotta, Havlíčkovy Sady (Grébovka), Prague 2 – Vinohrady
