Festival United Islands

At the turn of April and May, Prague will once again come alive with music – from April 30 to May 2, 2026, the 23rd edition of the United Islands festival will take place, bringing the best of Czech and European music scenes.

The main venue will be Štvanice Island and its surroundings, with additional events held in clubs across the city.

United Islands is known for giving space to emerging and up-and-coming artists. Over three days, more than a hundred performers will take the stage across various genres – from indie rock and electronic music to rap. This year’s international lineup includes British trio Bilk, Luxembourg-based project DasRADIAL, and Irish band Yard. The Czech scene will be represented by artists such as Toyota Vangelis, Hihahaholky, and MDMX.

The festival is not just about music. It also features the traditional Club Night, connecting dozens of Prague venues, and the Symphony for Humanity concert – a symbolic musical protest against xenophobia and oppression. Visitors can also look forward to a rich accompanying program including discussions, live podcasts, and talks on current social topics.

Since its founding in 2004 as a celebration of the Czech Republic’s entry into the European Union, United Islands has grown into one of Prague’s most important cultural events. Today, it is more than just a weekend festival – under its brand, cultural events take place throughout the year.

However, the highlight remains the same – the spring open-air festival that attracts thousands of visitors every year. And the best part? Admission is traditionally free, with the option to support the festival through voluntary contributions.
