Easter at Vajdahunyad Castle

From April 18 to 21, Vajdahunyad Castle and its surroundings in City Park will be transformed into a lively Easter fairground, offering family-friendly activities, live music, folk games, and a cheerful atmosphere. Admission is free, and the location itself is magical – the castle courtyard and park provide a stunning backdrop for Easter celebrations. Throughout the event, children, parents, and grandparents alike will find engaging activities to enjoy — even for a full day.

During the Easter long weekend, one of the most picturesque corners of City Park comes to life. Starting at 10:00 AM daily, the event offers interactive, family-focused activities including egg painting, face painting, craft workshops, and a folk playground open all day long. Those who appreciate traditional Easter vibes will feel right at home in this festive setting, where you can play, relax, explore, and enjoy delicious food.

Children can look forward to live performances and music shows every day, featuring acts such as the Kavics Troupe, Pipás Band, and the Agyagbanda Ensemble. You’ll also be able to catch the impressive stilt-walking parades by the VagaBanda performers at various times throughout the day. One of the highlights of the event is the Mr. Piano performance, filling the castle and its grounds with joyful tunes. Photo walls allow you to capture your favorite festive moments, while the Easter decorations turn the venue into a vibrant spring fairytale land.

The market-style food selection includes holiday treats, traditional Easter flavors, and modern street food, ensuring that gastronomy plays a central role alongside the entertainment. The event is designed with the goal of helping families of all ages recharge, play, and share in the heartwarming spirit of Easter together.
