Easter Market on Old Town Square

The Easter Markets at Old Town Square in Prague will take place from March 21 to April 12, 2026, offering the largest celebration of spring and Easter traditions in the Czech Republic.

Visitors can look forward to a wide selection of traditional handcrafted products, a rich cultural program, and a diverse range of Easter delicacies.

More than seventy beautifully decorated stalls will showcase hand-painted Easter eggs, wicker and straw crafts, crocheted tablecloths, ceramics with spring motifs, and other traditional products. A special highlight this year will be wooden planters filled with live flowers, carefully maintained by gardeners. The cultural program will feature over 1,500 performers from across Europe, with folk singing and dance performances taking place under a decorated Easter birch tree. Both children and adults can enjoy craft workshops focused on braiding willow whips, decorating Easter eggs, and creating festive decorations.

The culinary selection will include traditional Easter lamb cakes, mazance (sweet bread), egg spreads, spring stuffing, fragrant gingerbread, frgály (Moravian pastries), lokše (potato pancakes), vegetarian dishes, Czech sausages, and scoop ice cream. Emphasis will be placed on Czech products and high-quality local ingredients.

The markets will also be eco-friendly, featuring decorations made from recycled materials, waste sorting, and fully recyclable packaging. Charity stalls will be part of the event, offering products from nonprofit organizations.
